TrimRim is built on one stubborn principle — everything runs on your device, and nothing about your projects is collected, stored on our side, or transmitted anywhere.
TrimRim is designed to run entirely on your device. It does not collect, store on our side, or transmit any of your information. The sections below explain exactly what that means.
Nothing. TrimRim has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and we run no analytics, tracking, or usage telemetry. Everything you create — part names, dimensions, ± tolerances, chosen units, material notes, sketches, revisions, and status stamps — stays on your device only.
Because we never collect your information, there's nothing for us to use, read, analyze, profile, or sell. Every feature — logging dimensions, setting tolerances, cloning revisions, applying DRAFT / DONE / REPEATED stamps — runs locally, with no data ever leaving your device.
Your project data is kept in the app's local storage on your device and nowhere else. There's no TrimRim cloud, no remote backup server, and no background sync. We can't see your spec sheets, and neither can anyone else through us.
TrimRim ships without third-party analytics, ad networks, trackers, or embedded marketing SDKs. We don't share data with outside companies, because there's no data being collected to share in the first place.
By keeping everything on-device and avoiding any network transfer, TrimRim removes most of the surface area where data is usually exposed. Your information is only as reachable as your own device, so we encourage you to protect it with your device's standard lock and security features.
TrimRim does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app gathers no personal information at all, it's consistent with COPPA expectations by design — for users of every age.
You hold complete control over your data at all times. Your entries live on your device and can be edited or removed by you whenever you wish. Removing the app deletes its data; because there are no accounts or cloud backups, no residual copy is held anywhere else.
If this policy ever needs updating, we'll revise the text and update the Effective Date above. Continued use after a change means the revised policy is in effect — but the core promise of no collection, no storage on our side, and no transmission isn't something we intend to walk back.
